HOUSTON – The Easter holiday is one weekend when all eyes are usually very keen on what can be a changing spring forecast. This year, it will be no different.

Early in the week, we’ll stay mild and muggy with highs generally in the mid to upper 80s. However, a stronger cold front will swing into Texas this holiday weekend and that’s when we’ll start tracking rain/storm chances.

SATURDAY:

While the front will be off into west Texas, a strong pull from the Gulf will stream in some scattered showers from the coast through the afternoon. Rain coverage will be 20-30%.

This is as far out as our future track models go so the best estimate at this time is that we’ll be tracking some scattered showers and likely some thunderstorms as well as the front approaches.
