Thursday Afternoon Forecast:
HOUSTON – Houston is feeling the spring-like weather!
Plenty of sunshine for early Thursday afternoon as current temperatures across the area are lying in the upper 60s to low 70s.
South easterly winds are picking up as we get into the afternoon hours. This will help usher in more moisture into the area as we head into the evening hours.
In comparison, the wind gusts are a lot lower than what we saw Tuesday and Wednesday.
You may notice that it feels very comfortable outside! This is thanks to the cold front on Tuesday that ushered in much drier air.
Humidity will start to rise as we get into the later afternoon and evening hours as we have consistent southerly flow from the Gulf.
Drier air heats up more efficiently, which will help to increase our temperatures to the low 70s as we reach the peak heating of the day.
All in all, it’s a fantastic day to get outside!
If you’re heading out to see the AJR concert at the Houston Rodeo this evening, you may want to bring a light jacket with you as temperatures drop to the upper 50s by the time you leave.
10 Day Forecast:
We’re tracking our next storm system that will swing through SE Texas on Saturday. Ahead of the associated cold front brings a chance of showers and storms. After the front passes, we drop to the 60s on Sunday but those temperatures rebound for the start of Spring Break.
