Wednesday’s Rain Timeline:

2 AM - 5 AM: A line of thunderstorms will begin to move into SE Texas. This line moves from the northwest to the southeast. Because of the timing, you make be awaken by the rumble of thunder. Thankfully, no storms are forecasted to produce tornadoes or damaging winds but heavy rain is expected.

1st round begins to move into SE Texas
Heavy downpours continue through 5 AM

7 AM - 9AM: SE Texas gets a break from widespread rain.

10 AM - 3 PM: Rain and storms fire again in Houston. This cluster of storms does not look as intense as the morning’s storms but it will affect some lunch plans and some of the kids getting out of school.

Showers and embedded thunderstorms

4 PM -7 PM: The unsettled weather moves east and tapers off as cooler air filters in.

Thursday Temperature Tumble:

Behind Wednesday’s rounds of rain, you’ll want to grab a light jacket.

Morning temperatures start in the 40s, with daytime highs only in the upper 50s. A major change last week’s 80s.

Three cold fronts are on the 10-day forecast. There is tomorrows. Another is expected Saturday. And Wednesday’s of next week may bring back freezing temperatures to Houston.

Valentine’s Day temperatures are seasonable with a small chance of light rain.
