Spring Break is upon us...are you heading somewhere? Some spots for Spring Break are always on the list because of reliably good weather this time of year...most tourist destinations in Mexico, for instance, promise sunshine and warm temperatures in the low 80s. On the opposite thermometer, the ski slopes in Colorado look pretty good this year with snow forecasted this weekend and the middle of next week...highs reach the low 40s with lows dropping well below freezing. And then there is Florida...hmmmm....here’s the American model for this Saturday through the next weekend:

Showers show up in the Panhandle this weekend and move across the peninsula Monday and again Wednesday/Thursday with another round for the Panhandle the following weekend. Nothing to cancel over, just be aware that the sunshine state can only promise so much!

A lot of folks head to Manhattan for a Broadway Break...and that weather looks pretty good for the weekdays with two weekends of dicey weather (and it will be chilly, but pleasant with temperatures mostly in the 40s):

That second weekend is, of course, St. Patrick’s Day and if you’re heading to Chicago to watch them turn the river green on the Saturday before (March 16th), you’re in luck. The week ahead looks dry with a few showers Friday the 15th moving out before the 16th and, like NYC, temps will be in the 40s so not too cold!

Perhaps you are sticking around here for Rodeo, Galveston’s beaches, Moody Gardens or Houston fun. Our cold front this coming Friday will usher in a spectacular weekend and we stay quiet for the first part of Spring Break. We’ll keep an eye on the second weekend with yet another storm moving across the state Thursday and Friday. As far as temperatures? Not a problem. Nice and spring-like!
