Umbrellas needed in Houston Friday through the weekend!

Can we get the rain out of here in time for Christmas?

Tonight’s Forecast:

The clouds have taken over most of our forecast for the next few days. However, rain chances will stay light with the first system moving through mainly to our north from Waco to Dallas on Thursday. Travel weather continues to be pleasant and trouble free through Friday.

Next Rain Chance:

Friday rain chances return and stick around through Sunday. Both Friday and Sunday appear to be the bumpy a la stormy days going into the holiday weekend.

Right now Christmas Eve seems to be the day with the steadiest rain and a few thunderstorms.

The rain moves out just in time for Christmas. There will be changes in the new model data that comes in so make sure to check back with us often this week!

10-Day forecast:

The official start to Winter (the solstice) is on Thursday at 9:27PM. We will start off the winter season with above average temperatures and an unsettled weather pattern. This unfortunately means right now we do have rain showers in the forecast leading up to Christmas Eve. As for Christmas models continue to trend drier, but a low end shower chance can’t be ruled out this far out. Regardless, if you’re hosting for the holidays I’d come up with some indoor activities that your guests can do while showers pass. We’ll keep tracking the changes for you!
