Tracking heavy rain Thursday:
Thursday is our best chance at widespread, heavy rain as a front stalls in the Brazos. Temperatures will stay mild in the 80s.
We are still in a drought so all of this rain is beneficial but it may cause street flooding west of I-45. Rain totals are impressive!
Big Cool Down:
We will stay unseasonably warm through the weekend. Our big cold front moves in Sunday evening dropping our temperatures into the 50s for Monday afternoon and the 40s for Trick-or-treaters!
Halloween looks to be cool and windy, so make sure your costumes are warm!
Tracking the Tropics:
Hurricane Otis hit Acapulco at category 5 a little after midnight Wednesday morning. For more on Hurricane Otis and the rapid intensification, check out Frank’s blog. Hurricane Tammy will continue to drift north losing hurricane status as it approaches Bermuda. There is NO threat to the United States from any of these storms.

10-Day Forecast:
Temperatures are unseasonably warm with highs in the mid-80s through the weekend. Our next cold front is expected on Monday morning. The big question is whether or not we have a soggy forecast for trick-or-treaters. Regardless we will be cold and windy, so plan on warm costumes!
