Cool and cold, no rain for a few days

(KPRC 2)

HOUSTON – Skies are finally starting to clear and the cold air is taking over. Later this evening, no rain but it'll fall into the low 40s so bundle up if you're heading out.

Sunshine should finally return tomorrow afternoon which will jump highs back into the mid-50s after a cold start in the mid to upper 30s.

Slightly warmer with sunny skies for Tuesday in the low 60s and that trend continues before another front will bring rain chances (but not as severe as Saturday) for Wednesday night into Thursday.

The West Fork of the San Jacinto River is in minor flood stage and should drop by late Tuesday night.

The Trinity River will hold in moderate flood stage through most of next week.
