Cool start to Saturday

52 degrees was the official low temperature at Bush Intercontinental Airport Saturday morning.

Clear skies and a northwest breeze kept the temperatures cool and in the 50s and 60s for most of the morning.

Abundant sunshine and clear afternoon skies will mean highs near 86 inland and near 80 along the coast with no rain in sight. Because of sun and slight breezes, there is an Ozone Watch for today which means people with asthma and emphysema should pay particular attention to air quality today.

It should be very pleasant weather for tonight’s Dynamo game at BBVA Compass Stadium. High pressure overhead moves East today which means a return flow from the Gulf with higher humidity starting late tonight and into the start of the week.

Next big rain chance will be the Thursday Friday time period where as of now I expect 30 percent chances at this time. Mother’s Day forecast looks good with a high of 84 and no rain for now.
