Soggy Saturday night leads to breezy Sunday

Outdoor activities may have to wait until Sunday

HOUSTON – Steady rain continues to slowly move across the region Saturday afternoon but we're starting to see some significant breaks just west of Houston, so expect the showers to taper off within the next hour or so.

The rest of the day will stay cool, muggy and damp and temperatures slowly falling into the 60s during the evening.

A cold front will move through Saturday night, which may bring a chance for additional rainfall, but no major flood concerns going into the overnight hours.

Sunday will start cool, in the low 50s, cloudy with some showers along the coast. The rest of the day will be a stark contrast as highs will only reach the upper 50s, breezy and cool all afternoon.

Sunny skies return early next week as Spring Break week will kick off with mid 60s and dry weather!
