The thunderstorms are winding down but now we're dealing with both the storms from the north and south smashing into each other across much of the Houston metro area. Expect widespread moderate to heavy rain for the next 1-2 hours with an additional 1-3" of rain falling.
Some street flooding has occurred and much of Houston down to Hobby Airport west to Sugar Land areas were under flash flood warnings until 8:15 p.m.
Rain will eventually slow down after 9-10pm tonight and we'll be quiet for the remainder of the night through early Sunday morning.
Showers and thunderstorms will re-fire again tomorrow afternoon, however the coverage doesn't look to be as widespread as today. Highs will still be muggy and warm in the mid 80s. Some areas will see an additional 1-2" of rain.
