Houston weather turning brighter, cooler in days to come.

Seasonable December weather returns to southeast Texas

HOUSTON – Showers and thunderstorms that moved through Houston early Wednesday morning are long gone, leaving cooler air and a stiff breeze in their wake.

Temperatures will hold in the 60s Wednesday afternoon under progressively clearing skies.  Winds will be out of the north between 10 and 20 miles per hour with higher gusts.

Thursday promises to be cool, crisp and bright.  Morning low temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s with afternoon highs in the low 60s.  Skies will be mostly sunny.

Friday and Saturday will be the chilliest of the week, with morning lows dipping into the 30s and afternoon highs struggling to break 60 degrees.
