Tropical Storm Erin forms in the Eastern Atlantic Basin, expected to become major hurricane

The National Hurricane Center has officially named the fifth storm of this hurricane season at 10 a.m. CT. Tropical Storm Erin has formed off the coast of the Cabo Verde Islands, a small island nation off the coast of West Africa.
