New surveillance video before fatal ICE-involved shooting of Lorenzo Salgado Araujo

New surveillance video obtained by KPRC 2 shows the view of Canal Street on Tuesday morning around the time of the ICE agent-involved shooting. Lorenzo Salgado Araujo was driving the white work van, according to ICE, and can be seen driving eastbound on Canal, followed by an unmarked law enforcement vehicle, which appears to drive into the oncoming lane of traffic to get next to the van. The van then turns around in the unpaved construction zone area, while video shows a law enforcement vehicle driving toward it. Then, you can see the van appear to drive up onto the sidewalk/curb area in a westbound direction, while three apparent law enforcement offers run after it, followed by a law enforcement vehicle. There's no audio on this clip, so there's no indication of exactly when the ICE agent fired, which the agency has said was in self-defense because Lorenzo Salgado Araujo allegedly rammed a law enforcement vehicle and "weaponized his vehicle in an attempt to run over an ICE law enforcement officer."
