Dog groomer in League City arrested after Goldendoodle dies from being strangled by cinch collar

A League City dog groomer has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty following the death of a Goldendoodle in her care. The League City Police Department, with assistance from the Galveston County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office, took 56-year-old Lisa Pfund of Seabrook into custody on March 30.  Pfund faces a third-degree felony charge of cruelty to a non-livestock animal, and her bond has been set at $50,000.
