Several Galveston County law enforcement agencies partnering with ICE

Several law enforcement agencies in Galveston County are partnering with Immigration and Customs Enforcement through a program called 287(g). The program allows local law enforcement officers to perform certain immigration enforcement actions under ICE’s supervision. The Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, Constable Precincts 1,2 and 4, and League City police have officers and deputies participating in the 287(g) Task Force Model program.
