Houston kicks off holiday season with H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade and Deck the Hall tree lighting

Houston Mayor John Whitmire and event partners announced exciting details for the 2025 H-E-B Thanksgiving Day Parade and the newly reimagined Deck the Hall tree lighting at City Hall. The free, family-friendly events will feature favorite floats, giant balloons including a 40-foot H-E Buddy and 50-foot Golden Dragon, Houston sports mascots, Grammy-nominated R&B star Brian McKnight, festive holiday zones, Santa’s Workshop, fireworks, and immersive Downtown activities for all ages.
