Beloved Houston restaurant Kim Son to permanently close downtown location after 43 years

Beloved Houston restaurant Kim Son has announced it will close its longtime downtown location on Jefferson Street later this month due to the I-45 expansion project. In a heartfelt message posted to Instagram, the restaurant said its final day of service will be Oct. 12, 2025, marking the end of more than four decades serving Houston diners.
