Man killed, 3 injured in apartment fire

Three people were rescued after a fire erupted inside an independent living apartment complex in north Houston, where a man was also found dead, late Wednesday night.  It happened at the Independence Hall Apartments on Burress Street and Airline shortly before 11 p.m. The first crew of Houston firefighters saw the flames shooting from the complex’s second floor.
