Cleveland teacher rallies community to gift teen pilot scholarship after father’s death

After losing his dad to cancer a couple of months ago, Kevin Velasquez, who just finished his junior year at Cleveland High School and is heading into his senior year, found purpose and healing in the most unexpected of places: the body of an airplane. Now, the community has rallied to gift him a full scholarship to earn his private pilot license and more.
