‘It happened so suddenly’: Bank worker at office building that caught fire recounts what happened

We’re learning more about the office building that caught on fire in Southwest Houston on Wednesday. KPRC 2 has learned that a Korean bank called Metro City Bank was on the first floor, as well as a law office called Tran Law Group. Janie Leung said she was working at the building Wednesday afternoon when everyone had to evacuate. “It was just a small smoke. We didn’t think it was anything big,” said Leung. She said workers left the building at around 4 p.m. Wednesday. “I love my bank, and I love my people,” said Leung. “The great thing is no one got hurt.”
