Houston homeowner claims contractor took $38K, left house unlivable

Marina Gomez, a homeowner, claims that Five Star Foundation and Construction scammed her out of $38,300 for home repairs that were never completed. Gomez explained that in July 2023, she searched for a contractor online and came across Five Star Foundation and Construction. The company appeared legitimate, and their website and communication seemed professional. The owner, Courtney Lynn Garcia, was responsive and provided a contract promptly.
