Deadly crash shuts down Katy Freeway

A devastating crash on the Katy Freeway westbound near the West Loop in Houston has claimed the lives of a woman and a young girl, approximately 8 to 10 years old. The incident involved a Mazda colliding with other vehicles, including a TxDOT truck. The driver of the Mazda stayed on the scene and is cooperating with authorities. Two other individuals were hospitalized, and all westbound lanes remain closed.
