Fort Bend ISD community members urge trustees to reject removing certain books from school libraries

The Fort Bend ISD Board of Trustees are expected to vote on a policy change on Monday which could allow the superintendent authority to remove certain books from school libraries. The superintendent would also be able to designate someone to fulfill that role. A coalition of Fort Bend ISD librarians, parents and community members held a news conference Monday afternoon, urging trustees to reject the proposed changes.
