Newborn baby found dead in trash by workers collecting waste in NW Harris County

An investigation is underway after a newborn baby boy was found dead inside of a trash bin Wednesday in northwest Harris County, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The discovery was made by workers in a waste collection truck who were servicing in a residential neighborhood the 13200 block of Fountain Crest Drive. The baby’s body was in the back of a trash compactor inside the truck.
