Houston ISD cuts 85 bus routes to reduce ride times, reduce costs for school choice transportation

The district said the move is to minimize the time students spend riding the bus, improve efficiency in their transportation system, and ensure the district can continue to provide transportation to all HISD families who access their school choice options.
