KPRC 2 is proud to present the original documentary TAKEOVER, which chronicles a year of change in the Houston Independent School District under Superintendent Mike Miles and the New Education System (NES). Produced by KPRC 2 anchor Candace Burns, photojournalist Wladimir Moquete and digital specialist Ninfa Saavedra - the film tells the story of state control through the eyes of the students, parents and teachers at Fleming Middle School, where our team had exclusive classroom access during the 2023-2024 school year.
