‘My heart aches’: Victim in fatal apartment shooting identified as beloved Houston grandfather

A 52-year-old man was killed after being shot near an apartment complex in Northwest Houston. According to Houston Police Department, the shooting happened at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday near the Abby at Grant Road apartments. According to HPD Lt. Larry Crowson, a witness reported that the victim was shot by an occupant if a black “smaller vehicle.” It’s unclear whether or not the shooting was a drive-by. KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry was at the scene, where the victim’s siblings spoke with members of the media. They identified him as Terribia Dembry.
