Sistine Chapel Closed: Conclave to Elect New Pope Begins May 7th

The Sistine Chapel is closed to the public as the Vatican prepares for the conclave to elect a new pope, starting next Wednesday, May 7th. Only cardinals under the age of 80 are eligible to vote, and they will be sequestered inside the chapel until a new pontiff is chosen.
