According to FEMA, a nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS) and Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEA) is expected to take place this week. In coordination with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the national test will be administered at approximately 2:20 p.m. ET (1:20 p.m. Houston time) on Wednesday, Oct. 4.
