2 injured after bull charges through crowd at Australian rodeo
At least two people, including a 5-year-old girl, were injured at a rodeo in Western Australia on Saturday, May 27, after a bull got loose and charged through the crowd, local media reported. Footage captured by David Newman shows attendees scattering at the Top End Mustering Rodeo in the East Kimberley town of Kununurra on Saturday night. A Kununurra Campdraft and Rodeo Association (KCRA) spokesperson told local media that the animal was “swiftly and professionally” removed from the area by event officials and the incident was under investigation. “The KCRA is committed to the safety and welfare of attendees, participants and animals, and works hard to ensure their event strictly adheres to the code of practice for the conduct of rodeos, which is a requirement of the Western Australian government,” the spokesperson said.
