Park police horses enjoy sips from fountain near White House
United States Park Police horses enjoyed a splash and a sip from a fountain near The Ellipse in Washington, video released on Wednesday, May 24, shows. “Our horses have their favorite spot to visit when they patrol the National Mall and Memorial Parks,” police wrote on social media. The video shows the horses drinking from the Butt-Millet Memorial Fountain, which is dedicated to Archibald Butt and Major Francis Millet, two men “widely known in Washington’s cultural, social, and political circles,” who died in the sinking of the Titanic, according to the National Park Service (NPS).
