6 injured in ventilation system collapse at Colorado pool
Six people were injured when a ventilation system collapsed at an indoor pool in a resort in Aurora, Colorado, on Saturday, May 6. According to Aurora Fire Rescue (AFR), the incident occurred at approximately 9:50 am on Saturday morning at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center. AFR said eight firefighters were already at the resort on Saturday morning to conduct training, which allowed for a fast response. Footage from Jamie Olson, who was at the aquatics center with her son, shows the distressing scene. An estimated 50-100 guests were inside the aquatics center at the time of the collapse, according to AFR. Six injured patients were transported to local hospitals. Two of those had life-threatening injuries, they said. Credit: Jamie Olson via Storyful
