Car ends up in pond after driving through flooding in Plantation, Florida

A vehicle ended up in a pond in Plantation, Florida, on Thursday, April 13, after the driver drove into a flooded area, the Plantation Fire Department said. The driver was able to escape the car before it was submerged, the fire department said. The footage shows the car being lifted out of the pond in the Acres neighborhood of Plantation. Multiple towns in South Florida experienced severe flooding this week. In nearby Fort Lauderdale, extreme flooding caused flight cancellations as the tarmac was covered in water.
