Bodycam footage shows woman knocking paramedic unconscious in Southwest England

A woman has been convicted of assaulting an emergency worker after she knocked a paramedic unconscious in Swindon on March 29, 2022, officials said. Bodycam footage released by South Western Ambulance Service on Feb. 14 shows the moment the woman punched a paramedic, knocking him to the ground. Nick Brown, a SWASFT paramedic, was punched, knocked unconscious, and left with a broken eye socket, the ambulance service said. Vanessa Blakely, 25, pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and assaulting an emergency worker at Swindon Magistrates Court on Thursday, Feb. 2, where she was given a 12-month suspended prison sentence.Credit: South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust via Storyful
