9-year-old girl ‘executed,’ mother injured during shooting involving woman’s ex-boyfriend in Heights area, HPD says

An investigation is underway after a 9-year-old girl was killed and the mother was injured during a shooting carried out by the woman’s ex-boyfriend in the Heights Monday night, Houston police said.
