It is Shred Day 2024! Here is how you can securely throw away those piles of sensitive documents you have at home for free

Snail mail spam from credit card companies, old bank statements, and medical documents - these are all things you do not want to throw away in your regular trash. “We are seeing a lot of check fraud, believe it or not, it is not just digital these days,” said Comerica Bank Houston Market President, Jason Baker. This is why Comerica Bank continue to team up with Iron Mountain to bring Comerica Bank’s Shred Day to Houston neighbors. The annual event provides a location for anyone wanting to dispose of sensitive documents securely, for free! Helping to SHRED hunger is another big part of the day. Comerica’s Mangum Banking Center is not just Shred Day HQ but also a drop off point for non-perishable food items with Houston Food Bank volunteers on site to collect cash and credit card donations. Shred Day is now in its 11th year and over the years, the event has raised enough to provide 400,000 meals to hungry Houstonians.
