This Texas artist is turning Titanic artifacts Into art

History meets art in a powerful new way. Texas artist Dirk Strangely is debuting Souls of the Titanic, a 12-part fine art series created using authenticated coal recovered from the RMS Titanic sinking. Each piece honors real passengers and crew, transforming history into something you can see, feel, and experience. The collection introduces “Artifactism™,” a new genre where historical artifacts don’t just inspire the art they become the art itself. The experience also includes an immersive anniversary dinner on April 14 in Conroe, Texas, inspired by the Titanic’s final first-class meal, complete with live music and storytelling.
