Aziz Ansari, Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves bring heartfelt humor to new comedy ‘Good Fortune’
Fans will probably know him as the fast-talking, big-dreaming Tom Haverford from ‘Parks and Rec,’ and the thoughtful romantic from ‘Master of None’ — but now Aziz Ansari is back with ‘Good Fortune,’ a comedy that’s as funny as it is deep. With Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves by his side, Aziz takes us on a journey about luck, life, and all the unexpected twists in between -- which he not only stars in but also co-wrote and directed. Here’s short description of the film: A well-meaning but inept angel named Gabriel (Keanu Reeves) intervenes in the lives of Arj (Aziz Ansari), a struggling gig worker barely scraping by, and Jeff (Seth Rogen), a wealthy venture capitalist. Gabriel attempts to teach Arj that money doesn’t solve everything by swapping Arj’s life with Jeff’s — but when Arj actually seems happier in the rich life, everything starts to unravel. Watch as Lauren Kelly catches up with Aziz to chat about making the movie, directing comedy legends, and why a little chaos might be exactly what makes life interesting.
