Celebrate Asian creativity, culture and talent at the Starry Nite Arts Festival

From September to November, the Starry Nite Arts Festival celebrates Asian culture, creativity, and community through a series of events across Houston. From live performances to local talent sharing their stories, the festival uplifts voices through music, art, and fashion. Thai Nguyen and Monique Truong, co-authors of “Mai’s Áo Dài” — or Mai’s long dress — stopped by the "Houston Life" studio to share how their book inspires cultural pride in the next generation through storytelling. Plus, singer-songwriter Lela Dang brings her energy to the studio with her original song "Life."
