Actor Stephen Moyer plays a Detective Inspector in new crime drama ‘Art Detectives’

He is probably best known for his role as Bill Compton in the long running HBO series ‘True Blood’ alongside is wife, Academy Award winning actress Anna Paquin, but actor Stephen Moyer has been keeping quite busy since the popular series ended. His latest project finds him in the role of a detective in Acorn TV’s ‘Art Detectives,’ which follows two art-loving detectives who solve murders connected to the world of art and antiques. Each episode follows DI Mick Palmer (Moyer) and DC Shazia Malik (Nina Singh) as they navigate a rich and colorful world driven by greed, obsession, lust and revenge. Throughout the season, the artfully astute detectives encounter a fake Vermeer, Viking gold, a rare Chinese vase and items rescued from the Titanic. ‘Art Detectives’ premieres with two episodes this coming Monday, June 9th on Acorn TV, and then new episodes will drop weekly every Monday on the platform. Watch as Lauren Kelly chats with Stephen all about the new series, the special nod to his mom, his memories of when he visited Houston, and lots more.
