HISD 5th grader makes history as first back-to-back winner of the Foley MLK Jr. Oratory Competition

History was made at the 29th annual Foley MLK Jr. Oratory Competition. Blackshear Elementary fifth grader Montoia Murray went home a winner for the second year in a row. She joined us live via Zoom to tell us more about her winning speech and what Dr. King's message means to her generation. We also caught up with Claude Treece, the longtime emcee and event chair who is passing the torch after 29 years.
