HOUSTON LIFE
You won't believe what this zebra can do! A Sneak peak of the fun at Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo
The Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo celebrates 75 years, and this year, they are taking the entertainment to the next level - like a zebra on top of a horse truck kind of level! John Payne is The One Armed Bandit, a ProRodeo icon who has won the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PCRA) Rodeo Act of the Year 15 times! Payne may joke that his single arm is a genuine feature, not just part of the act, but he is lucky to be alive. Dead for five minutes, after 7200 volts of electricity ripped through his body, Payne lost his arm to severe burns. Houston Life's Melanie Camp spoke to Payne and caught a preview of his famous act. You can watch it in the video above. The Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo may put on a good show, but it is also about supporting youth, education, and the greater community. Be part of the fun! The Pasadena Livestock Show & Rodeo is on now and runs through Saturday, September 28th. Get tickets at the door or online PasadenaRodeo.com, or call 281-487-0240 for assistance. The Pasadena Livestock Show is at 7601 Redbluff Rd, Pasadena, TX 77507.
