HOUSTON LIFE
FULL SHOW: Houston Life crew explore the Cajun country at Lafayette
Celebrate 200 years of history and culture. The Houston Life crew is live from Lafayette, Louisiana. We’re getting a history lesson at the Vermillionville Historic Village, where we’re meeting with a tribal chief about Louisiana’s Acadian, Creole, and Native American Culture. Then, we’re taking a lunch break and trying out the food and drinks. Mel Camp is taking us on a food tour to try everything from gumbo to boudin and beer. And we can’t forget about trying the Tabasco. Wanna know how it’s made? Go inside the factory with Derrick Shore. Plus, we’re headed to the water as our photographer hops on an airboat and explores through one of America’s greatest swamps. What will he find? Finally, we’re ending the night with the unique sounds of the Cajun country with a live performance.
