Be a Star on the HGO Stage! Here's How...

The Houston Grand Opera brings The Sound of Music to the Brown Stage at the Wortham Theatre Center in April and May of 2024. Acclaimed director Francesca Zambello is including songs from the theatrical version and the much-loved film. A big fan of The Sound of Music, the HGO’s Richard Bado will be conducting. The production stars world-famous mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard as Maria and baritone Alexander Birch Elliott as the Captain. The HGO will be holding local auditions to cast the roles of the von Trapp children. Details will be posted online at HGO.org after Labor Day. Watch the video above for more details.
