Where to find Houston’s giant croissants

Have you seen the videos on social media of the giant croissants? They are huge, every pastry lover’s dream come true. It is Asian-American and Pacific Islander Heritage month and the woman who created these is from Pakistan. Houston Life’s Melanie Camp went to Montrose, to the bakery, ‘Shakkar’. That’s ‘sugar’ in Urdu, to find out how these croissants came about. Shakkar bakes giant chocolate and butter croissants and they have just added giant almond croissants to the menu. You do need to pre-order because they take 3 days to prepare and bake.
