Harrison's Heroes brings smiles to hospitalized children in memory of a special little boy
KPRC 2 and our Community partners at Energy Transfer and Houston Christian University are proud to spotlight Harrison's Heroes and the amazing work they do to uplift children and their families during a hospital stay. Founded in memory of Harrison Kothari, the nonprofit provides programs like a toy and craft cart, a new kid-friendly beverage cart and so much more. Lucia Ramirez, Manager of Volunteer Services and Special Programs at Children's Memorial Hermann, talks about the impact Harrison's Heroes has on families navigating their child's time in the hospital and how bringing happiness to these pint-sized patients is one way to promote recovery.
