2 right lanes still blocked on I-610 North Loop eastbound at Wayside Drive due to 18-wheeler crash from Wednesday

HOUSTON – TxDOT officials said I-610 North Loop eastbound at Wayside Drive crews still have two right lanes blocked Thursday morning following the fiery crash involving a fuel truck Wednesday.

An overhead sign that was damaged in the fire is currently being repaired, officials said.

Police said a fuel truck and another 18-wheeler collided and one caught on fire around to 5 a.m.

All lanes were shut down as crews work to put out the fire.

Drivers are still being advised to avoid the area as the closure is still causing delays.
