Gonzalo Leon, the Houston man accused of fatally shooting 11-year-old Julian Guzman during a ding-dong-ditch prank, appeared before Harris County District Judge Emily DeToto on Thursday, where his request for a reduced bond was denied.

A 10-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot late Saturday night while playing a prank known as “ding-dong ditch” at a home in the 9700 block of Mimbrough in Houston’s Eastside, police said.
