Houston Heights High School senior Hudson Pace achieved the rare feat of gaining acceptance to three prestigious U.S. military service academies and has chosen to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point.

President Donald Trump has used the first service academy commencement address of his second term to laud graduating West Point cadets for their accomplishments and career choice.

“Duty, Honor, Country” has been the motto of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point for 126 years.

U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin told U.S. Military Academy cadets they were graduating during “exceptionally tough circumstances” but that West Point prepared them to face extraordinary threats from pandemics to terrorism.

West Point officials say most of the 73 West Point cadets accused in the biggest cheating scandal in decades at the U.S. Military Academy are being required to repeat a year and eight were expelled.
