As the Official Tall Ship of Texas, ELISSA will join the world’s largest gathering of tall ships and military vessels while representing Galveston’s rich maritime history on a global stage. Built in Scotland in 1877, ELISSA is one of the few authentic 19th-century tall ships still actively sailing today. The National Historic Landmark will travel more than 2,500 miles with stops in Pensacola, Savannah, Yorktown, Portsmouth, New York City, and Boston.
